CROC E MOSES is a seasoned musician and slam poet who has mastered his unique style of performance to critical acclaim.
Formerly the founder and drummer of the hit SA band ‘Fetish’, Croc E has spent half his life developing his performance and he presents a special experience of lyrical, rhythmic poetry accompanied by guitar and ingeniously self-crafted backing tracks, as well as unaccompanied insightful beat poetry.
Over and above his live performances, Croc E self-produces his hand-made books and CD’s, which are gaining in popularity exponentially. His first book ‘Twilight Sunburn’ 2004 is an 88-page collection of his original poetry, followed by ‘Through’ 2007, which received the following response from The Times Chronicle: “This book is a pH meter tracking an itinerant pinball while it scribbles through an arena of critical issues. A crash course in wake up calls. A coup de tilt on the mainstream.”
Croc E’s CD release ‘Mellowdrama’ 2006 is a benchmark achievement of independent publishing and a well-mastered full production that exposes his significant creative ability in the music sphere.
Recently returning from a successful appearance at the Bush Fire Festival in Swaziland, which was followed by a collaborative in Mozambique with Swazi band ‘Lilanga’, Croc E has put together a national tour that is now underway.
